Abstract

The recommendations of Yehuda bin Tibbon to his son Samuel are among the most prominent recommendations written in medieval Hebrew literature. This research sheds light on these recommendations and the motives that prompted their writer to write them. This research also aims to clarify the most prominent educational and teaching contents included in bin Tibbon’s recommendations, as well as the most prominent technical features that distinguished them; This research also aims to highlight the Arab and Islamic influences in these recommendations, which came as a result of the Jews' connect with Arab thought and Islamic culture and their influence on them to the greatest extent.
