Abstract

Abstract: Reviewing the historical process of exchange between Islamic and Chinese civilizations, it is found that Wang Daiyu has undoubtedly made great achievements in Islamic culture and is well versed in Confucian principles. He is praised as a pioneer in civilized exchanges. He took on the great mission of cultural exchange and integration between Islam and China with great courage. Wang Daiyu exhausted what he had learned throughout his life and tried to make it easier for Chinese scholars and ordinary people to understand Islam through the method of "interpreting scriptures through Confucianism". and thereby interpret the noble teachings of the Islamic faith and true religion. Through the reinterpretation and bridging of the two cultures, Islam has been accepted and believed by more people in China. Wang Daiyu's philosophical thoughts, on the one hand, absorb the beneficial elements of traditional Chinese culture and enrich the connotation of Islamic philosophical thought; on the other hand, Islamic philosophical thought also enriches the content of traditional Chinese culture to a certain extent, making up for its epistemological and methodological deficiencies. At the same time, Wang Daiyu’s philosophical thoughts have provided a successful example for cultural exchanges and dialogue between China and Arab countries in today’s world.
