ABSTRACT: The study offers a survey of the current artificial intelligence as a new tendency in German literature and deals with the influence of AI in general and specifically with the rapid appearance of a new subgenre in German literature of the present. It cannot be overlooked that, the recent years numerous characteristics and motives were clearly produced in German literature by means of artificial intelligence on the basis of modern smart technology. For this study the selected novel “Die Nacht war bleich, die Lichter blinkten” by Emma Braslavsky is an appropriate example since the protagonists and main characters are artificial and can create normal and humane contacts. In Berlin the protagonist Rebota Köhl mingles with humans. According to her opinion she may not eat or drink anything because of her job related instructions. Under no circumstances she may execute human needs. She got a job in the city of Berlin, to observe the people. She is a machine that does not have feelings but looks like a human being. New terms always originate in literature over different epochs, which later are researched and found acknowledged in study of literature.
