Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the pivotal role played by the Center for Interfaith Dialogue and the Egyptian Family House, as two institutions operating under the patronage of Al-Azhar, in promoting global peace. The research revolves around the question: what specific mechanisms have these two institutions developed to operationalize the principles of Islamic tolerance into tangible actions? To answer this question, we believe it is useful to adopt an analytical method that allows us to highlight the research problem mentioned above. In light of Al-Azhar’s historical responsibility in the face of contemporary challenges, foremost among them the rise of hate speech, violence, and extremism, the central role of the Al-Azhar Center for Interfaith Dialogue and the Egyptian Family House emerge as pioneering initiatives that exemplify Al-Azhar’s commitment to promoting the values of peace and cooperation at both local and international levels.
