Abstract

Abstract:    The research aims to identify the art of the poetic imaginary journey, which presents the imaginary transition that the poet makes to his imaginary world. on the one hand to entertain himself, on the other hand to raise issues freely and independently. The research is based on the study of the two journeys "Journey into the Night" by the Arab poet "Salah Abdel Sabour", and the journey of "Sinbad" by the Urdu poet "Ameeq Hanafi" in a comparative study, This is to get acquainted with the image of the poetic imaginary journey in the Arabic and Urdu literature, and to highlight the similarities and differences between them. The choice fell on the poets "Abdul Sabour" and "Hanafi" due to the similarity between them in the direction and the era, and therefore the modern issues were close, and the way of dealing with them was similar to a great extent. These two journeys were also chosen because of the similarities between them in many points, the most important of which was Sinbad the Sailor, who sailed in the two journeys in the world of imagination and thought, traveling between the folds of modern issues, rejecting them, searching behind their causes, and providing solutions to them.
